About your Driver
Ray was born in Blenheim and since 2007 he has resided in Lincoln. He has spent 45 years in the travel industry as a Consultant/Manager/Owner & Operator having won many awards. Ray semi-retired in 2013, but was approached to drive a 16 seater Special Needs Shuttle for Go Bus on the local service to City schools.
However before he even started driving he was asked to help plot the routes for the drivers so that their students were only on the shuttle for a maximum of one hour and where possible to the same school from throughout Canterbury to the city schools. No mean feat when you consider there were 60 vehicles transporting students.
Within months it became apparent with the popularity of the service more time was needed in the office, so Ray was offered the role of Fleet Co-ordinator and then 4.5 years later the fleet had grown to 112 vehicles and 450 students! Unfortunately Go Bus were outbid on the SESTA contract in 2017 and redundancy loomed.
Fortunately Ray was approached by a small group of Lincoln/Prebbleton parents who required a shuttle transportation service for their students to Merivale schools and Medbury. Offering a prompt, on time experienced local service ensure parents a more personal up to 10 seater transportation from their home gate to the school gate for their young siblings.
For almost a year our younger daughter travelled with Ray door to door from our home to Rangi Ruru. This was much more convenient than the bus and less tiring on kids as the travel time is faster. Ray Thomas is extremely organised, punctual and a highly skilled professional driver – with a great sense of humour too. We highly recommend Ray and his A1#Shuttle4U service as a fantastic way for your son or daughter to get to and from school.”

Dennis and I just wanted to say a huge thankyou to you for your amazing service. When we contacted you for a pick-up to go to the airport at the terrible time of 4.30 am on a very chilly winters morning, we fully expected you would not be able to help. Instead you were only to happy to pick us up, arriving dead on time in your spotless van which you had really warm in advance. Our return pick up from the airport was nearly as bad, arriving just before midnight on a delayed ight. Again you were there waiting for us with a warm welcome. We are hoping you will be able to help us each time we need transport in the future.

We have used Ray twice both times going to the rugby at AMI in Addington. Ray was on time with our pick ups and so helpful and nlothing seemed to be a problem. He was a good driver and we were able to be dropped off near the stadium. I would certainly use his shuttle again and have passed his name onto others from Lincoln.
